LauncherOne launches satellites on on first operational flight

On June 30th Virgin Orbit has successfully launched its LauncherOne rocket on its first operational flight. Cosmic Girl carrier aircraft took off from California’s Mojave Air and Space Port at 6:50 AM PDT.

After Cosmic Girl arrived at the launch zone, LauncherOne rocket was released from under left wing and then ignited NewtonThree first stage engine. Following first stage burn, stages separated and NewtonFour second stage engine ignited and pushed the payloads into orbit.

This was second successfull mission for Virgin Orbit and first operational mission.
